What we collect
Petals is one person making instruments. This page says plainly what the site collects, and what it does not.
The short version. Our analytics never use cookies and never identify you. One advertising cookie exists, and it only loads if you allow it. Everything else is what you would expect from buying a plugin. A payment, a receipt, a download.
Analytics
We measure the site with Umami. It counts page views, referrers, and a few actions like a demo play or a download. It sets no cookies, builds no profile, and does not follow you across other sites. The numbers are aggregate. There is no row with your name on it.
Advertising
We run ads on Meta. To learn which ad led to a sale, Meta's pixel sets one cookie in your browser. It is the only thing on this site that identifies you to another company. In the EU, the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland it loads only if you allow it in the banner. Everywhere else it loads by default, and you can turn it off any time below.
Buying
Payments run through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe handles the charge and sends us the fact of the sale, your email, and the product, so we can deliver your license and a receipt.
Receipts and the newsletter are sent through Resend. If you subscribe, we store your email to send you the list, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that works. If you buy, your email stays with your license so you can sign in and download again.
Your account
Signing in sets one cookie, folium_session. It keeps you logged in and does nothing else. It is not shared, not sold, and not used to track you. Signing out clears it.
Your choices
The Meta ad cookie is the only tracking cookie on this site. Turn it on or off here. The choice is remembered on this browser.
- Unsubscribe from any newsletter email.
- Ask what we hold on you, or ask us to delete it. Write to shades@petals.fm.
Our analytics are anonymous, so there is nothing there that points back to you.
